The Harrier EV maintains its muscular stance but adds elements that scream capability. The closed-off grille features active cooling flaps that open only when the batteries need temperature management, improving aerodynamics during highway cruising while protecting vital components during water crossings.
Skid plates run the entire length of the underbody, protecting the battery pack from rocks and debris. These aren’t just cosmetic additions – they’re military-grade aluminum designed to take serious impacts. The wheel arches accommodate larger 19-inch wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires, while the suspension has been raised by 50mm compared to the standard Harrier. LED fog lamps have been repositioned higher to avoid damage during off-road adventures, and the roof comes ready with mounting points for auxiliary lights and expedition gear.

Climbing inside reveals an interior that balances ruggedness with premium features. The seats use water-resistant fabric that cleans easily after muddy adventures. The 12.3-inch touchscreen runs Tata’s latest software with specific off-road displays showing battery temperature, individual wheel torque distribution, pitch and roll angles, and even altitude. The Harrier EV employs dual motors producing a combined 300bhp and instant torque of 650Nm. But power isn’t the story here – it’s the control. Charging happens through multiple methods. Standard home charging takes 12 hours, while the included 11kW wall box reduces this to 7 hours. DC fast charging achieves 80% in just 45 minutes. Tata’s partnership with adventure destinations means charging infrastructure at popular off-road locations.
